How I workHow I Approach the Work

I’m interested in the ways we learn to protect ourselves, and what becomes possible when those protections can soften within a trusting relationship. Patterns that now feel limiting often began as necessary responses to our circumstances. In therapy, we approach them with curiosity and compassion, making room to understand their origins and discover greater freedom in how you relate to yourself and others.

My work is grounded in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means we attend to the connections between your history, your present relationships, and the feelings and patterns that emerge between us. Alongside thoughtful conversation, we may explore sensation, imagery, creativity, or expanded states of consciousness when these feel relevant to your needs.

I bring both clinical rigor and openness to what cannot always be neatly explained. I believe in consciousness expansion and empowerment, in supporting your trust in your wisdom, your choices, and your capacity to shape your life. I stand in allyship with queer and BIPOC communities and welcome neurodivergent people and people of all religious and spiritual beliefs, including those who hold none. Your experience, autonomy, and pace guide the process.

BackgroundThe Path That Brought Me Here

My path into psychotherapy began in the creative arts. Producing, directing, and designing theatre taught me to listen beneath words, appreciate how our surroundings shape our inner experience, and discover what becomes possible when people create together. These experiences continue to inform my appreciation for imagination, embodiment, and the healing potential of groups.

Living, working, and studying in Hawaii, Germany, and New Orleans exposed me to contemplative, holistic, and ceremonial traditions alongside clinical training. My studies in aromatherapy, autogenic hypnosis, breathwork, and shamanic drum journeying deepened my appreciation for embodied wellbeing and the many paths to meaning and connection.

I earned my master’s in counseling at Loyola University New Orleans, followed by postgraduate training in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy, primarily through Fluence and MAPS/Lykos, including certification in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration.

Today, I direct PsychEvolve and serve on Fluence’s training faculty, offering individual and group psychotherapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, retreats, clinical consultation, and professional education. Outside psychotherapy, I also offer trauma-informed aromatherapy and shamanic ceremonial experiences.

Bringing people together remains a thread throughout my career. I co-founded the Loyola University New Orleans Center for Counseling & Education and the Psychedelic Society of New Orleans, founded and directed Care for Creatives New Orleans, and co-authored published research on activity groups for creative arts professionals.

Nashville is now home, and I continue serving adults in Tennessee and Louisiana through telehealth, in person in Nashville, and occasionally in New Orleans.

Beyond my work, I’m a lover of the natural world and a devoted wife and mama. These everyday connections keep me close to tenderness, wonder, and care.

Good to knowCommon Questions

What does “holistic” mean in practice?

That we attend to mind, body, emotions, and spirit rather than treating them separately. In a session that might look like talk therapy, or it might include breath, movement, imagination, scent or sound, depending on what serves the work.

Are you taking new clients?

Availability changes, so I welcome you to reach out and ask. If my practice is full, I can help connect you with someone I trust or add you to my waitlist, if you prefer.
