More time to go inward, explore, and experience.

Ceremonies and retreats offer space to step outside the usual pace of everyday life and spend more intentional time in experiential, embodied, and relational practices.

Explore the two offerings below. Immersion Day Retreats are full-day group psychotherapy experiences weaving together creative expression, movement, sensory exploration, and connection to explore and integrate beyond words. Shamanic Drum Journey Ceremonies are non-psychotherapy gatherings for exploring non-ordinary states through rhythmic drumming and inward journeying.

Immersion Day Retreats

An experiential day of therapy, creative expression, embodiment and connection.

Immersion Day Retreats offer a full day of experiential group psychotherapy designed to support deeper exploration, expression, connection, and integration. Throughout the day, psychotherapy is woven with creative and embodied practices that may include meditation, mindfulness, aromatherapy, painting, poetry, sound bathing, movement and dance, psychodrama, singing, breathwork, shamanic drum journeying, and other experiential modalities.

Each retreat is thoughtfully designed around a particular theme, experience, or community, creating space to move beyond words and engage the emotional, relational, creative, symbolic, and somatic dimensions of the therapeutic process. Lunch and refreshments are provided, allowing participants to settle in and remain immersed in the caring container throughout the day.

Additional collaborating facilitators join each retreat depending on the container and the size of the group. The flyer for each upcoming retreat names that team.

Shamanic Drum Journey Ceremonies Not psychotherapy · Open to the public

A drum journey is an opportunity to explore a non-substance-induced non-ordinary state of consciousness through rhythmic drumming, intention, imagery and inward attention. It offers a pathway for accessing guidance from within, regardless of spiritual or religious orientation.

My practice comes from an oral tradition I received in Germany, carried and passed down through a lineage of women. I offer it alongside preparation designed to help the everyday busy mind settle and become receptive: relaxation practices, breathwork, supportive guided imagery and intention-setting before the journey itself.

The steady rhythm of the drum can support entry into a relaxed, trance-like state in which imagery, memory, emotion, symbolism and intuition become more accessible. Rather than directing what you should encounter, the journey creates space to become curious about what emerges. Ceremonies include preparation, the journey, and time afterward for reflection, writing or drawing, and optional sharing.

A note on scope

Shamanic drum journey ceremonies are not psychotherapy or mental health treatment and are open to the public. Unless specifically incorporated into individual or group psychotherapy, these ceremonies are offered outside the scope of my licensed professional counseling practice.
